***SAFE 07/11/15*** TABBY KITTEN CHARMER, DUMPED WHEN OLD OWNER BECAME ILL, HAS A GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT PEARL A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Pretty princess PEARL, a 6-month-old gray tabby kitten, was dumped into the kill-happy ACC with a heartbreaking story: “The owner of the cats is of old age and can no longer care for them. The daughter brought them in for her. She states that her mother’s home is in very bad shape. They took food and water and allowed petting. They are all friendly and easy to handle. Pearl was friendly and purred when i pet(ted) her.” Pearl entered the shelter along with her housemates and best fur-friends GARNET (A1041718), AMETHYST (A1041753), EMERALD (A1041726) – all STILL AVAILABLE in URGENT album, SAFFHIRE and PERIDOT (both thankfully SAFE) and poor JASPER (already KILLED). Pearl earned a very good EXPNOCHILD behavior rating for the trusting way she accepted petting, but this adorable kitten will DIE at noon tomorrow, an INNOCENT VICTIM of the notorious ACC kitty cold and a badly broken shelter system. Please don’t let them murder this kitten! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt sweet tabby kitten PEARL! If you can’t save PEARL yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/01/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Pearl looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Pearl retreats to the back and crouches down at the back of her cage. Reaction to touch: Pearl accepts a stroke, but attempts to nip at the assessor’s hand to stop the touch. Placement determination: Experience / no child Pearl tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
