JOLIE – A1039662
6-15-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 06/15/15*** JOYFUL JOLIE NOW FACES DEATH AS A RESULT OF HER OWNER BEING EVICTED!! JOLIE is a playful, mellow, friendly, and affectionate 4 year old kitty whose owner was evicted. She is perfectly healthy and already spayed. Why is the ACC killing her? Frankly, we don’t know. JOLIE is gentle with children, has good litterbox manners and uses her scratch post. She also lived with other cats and was ok with them. Sounds like the purrfect cat to me!! Yet the ACC slapped her with an EXPERIENCE rating and decided that she must die! JOLIE is healthy and only afraid in the shelter. GIVE THIS GIRL A ONE WAY TICKET TO FREEDOM TONIGHT BY CONTACTING A RESCUE TO PULL HER TO SAFETY!!!

06/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jolie does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside her cage. When softly spoken to, she looks at the assessor, blinks, and her ears tilt slightly sideways. Reaction to cage door opening: Jolie becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Jolie lowers her head and closes her eyes when pet. She remains immobile and lip licks. She twitches when touched on her body, but displayed no further reaction. As per previous owner, Jolie is respectful and played gently around children. She has also lived with 5 other cats, in which she was respectful, affectionate, and also played gently with. She has a medium level of energy and was described as playful, mellow, friendly, and affectionate. Behavior Determination: Experience (no young children) Jolie tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents. She may be intimidated by children based on the behaviors seen in the care center, but because the owner reports how respectful and gentle she is around children, we recommend any home with children conduct a thorough interaction.
