***GONE 06/14/15***PURRFECTLY HEALTHY AND PURRTY TABBY WILL DIE DUE TO FEAR—PLEASE GRANT MARVELOUS MALI A DEATH ROW PARDON! Sad sigh! Not sure why poor Mali’s finders thought they were doing her a favor by dumping her at the kill happy shelter. However, they reported that she was very friendly while they took care of her for a couple of days. Even the shelter staff couldn’t describe Mali as aggressive—just very fearful and can we allow a healthy and petrified pet die due to fear? If you can help turn poor Mali’s life around, please contact a NH rescue for help. This lovely lady deserves a chance for a happy, new life and we can’t let her be a victim of terrible circumstances and people’s ignorance. Won’t you please be marvelous Mali’s rescue angel? Save a life. Make a difference.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Mali’s finders reports that she was friendly with them. Reaction to assessor: Mali looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Mali remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Mali sniffs the assessor’s hand at first, then retreats towards the back. Second, does not allow the stroke and attempts to escape her cage. Placement determination: NH ONLY Mali is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
