07/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE

Notes: Reba was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little and I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: retreats, hisses Reaction to touch: hisses, remains motionless when touched, relaxes and allows petting Try picking cat up: Reba was tense while being held with her ears flat but did not attempt to flee Placement Determination: Experience
