04/03/15 10:42 Upon intake, Puddin was very quiet. She moved into the carrier from the feral trap with ease. Once in the carrier, she stayed to the back and allowed all touching, but had wide eyes. She allowed the counselor to pet her, but she leaned away everytime. In order to reduce stress for the cat, the counselor didn’t attempt to scan her for a chip or collar her at intake.

04/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Puddin Pop was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way but she tries to flee.We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: attempts to hide upon my approach (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me, tries to flee cage (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, tries to flee.
