** GONE 5/1/15**MARVELOUS MAZDA THE DREAMSICLE CREAMSICLE NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Mazda is another gorgeous and sweet gingerbread man whose precious life is on the line tonight. Mazda, 7, was apparently left behind in a building by his former family. He is described as very sociable, quiet and plays gently. He does not attempt to bite or scratch. Everyone knows that orange boys are the sweetest kitties and handsome Mazda is no exception to the gingerbread rule. But since he has caught the curable kitty sniffles, he has earned a spot on tonight’s at risk list. Let’s do everything we can to move this great guy to safe haven. If you can open up your heart and home to Mazda, please reserve him online or contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. Won’t you please be this dreamsicle creamsicle’s rescue angel? Save a life. Make a difference.

04/23/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Mazda was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. Although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from me to avoid being touched (3) Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Placement Determination: Experience
