BELLA BEAN – A1033750
5-2-2015 Brooklyn
GONE 5/2/15**BEAUTIFUL SWEET BELLA BEAN NEEDS NEW FRIEND! A staff member writes, “Bella Bean is “molto bella,” very beautiful, with her long white whiskers and sleek black coat. She lies near the front of her kennel to take in the scenery around her, welcoming a friendly face to say hello. She gives out a little mew when I touch her backside but seems quite unbothered otherwise. I wasn’t sure if she was appreciating the attention, but as soon as I started to leave, she started purring. She appreciated it after all and wanted to win me back. She did, and I think she’ll win you over too.” Sad sigh! This great girl, just 2, who lived with her family since she was a baby, lost her home because she was “scratching on the couch and some family member did not want to care for a cat.” Not only that, she began scratching on the furniture once her cat tree was thrown away. Duh! Makes you want to scream. What a piece of work is man, right? Well, here’s your chance to right a terrible wrong and injustice. It’s your chance to be THE somebody in “somebody do something.” If you can open up your heart and home to this little darling, please reserve her online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. If you live within a few hours of New York city, foster—it saves lives. Let’s do everything we can to write a happy ending to beautiful Bella Bean’s sad tale.

04/20/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
04/20/15 13:13 Basic Information: Bella Bean is a 2 year old unaltered female tuxedo domestic short hair. She is not declawed. The owner got Bella Bean from a corner store as a kitten and is being surrendered today because of Bella Bean scratching on the couch and some family member not wanting to care for a cat anymore. Bella Bean has not been to the vet recently but has no known injuries or health problems. The child that lived with Bella Bean says that he loved how fun and playful she is. Social Life and Personality: Bella Bean has lived with a child that was 12 years old. He states that Bella is relaxed and affectionate around him. He says that she is somewhat rough during play but that is because he uses his hands as a toy with her. The hand play has caused some minor bites on the child’s hand. Bella has not been around another cat to know her behavior with them. She has lived with a small yorkie and was relaxed, playful, and tolerant of the dog. Bella has been kept indoors and has a medium activity level. The surrender describes Bella as playful, confident, mellow, friendly with people she knows, shy with strangers, affectionate, quiet, and independent. Behavior: The owner says that Bella scratches on their furniture. This started when the owners threw away her scratching post. The owner also says that she knocks items of counters. This also started when her cat tree was thrown away. Bella enjoys being held and pet but sometimes has pet induced aggression. She is afraid of receiving baths and struggles during them. The owner has not tried to trim Bella’s nails. Bella is afraid of being placed inside a carrier. If someone disturbs her when she is sleeping sometimes she will wake up and bite the person. The bites do not break the skin. For a New Family to Know: Bella is used to using the bathroom in a hooded litter box with clumping litter. She has not had an accident outside the litter box. She likes to play with wand toys. She scratches on furniture but prefer a vertical post that is made of carpet when provided. When people are home she is either following them around or in her favorite resting spots. When she is in car rides she meows throughout the ride. She was sometimes fed wet food but she was mainly feed dry food twice a day. Her favorite treats are sardines and hard cat treats. She likes to sleep anywhere in the home.
