MASHA – A1051294
Gone 9-29-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/29/15*** MASHA HAS UNFAIRLY BEEN DUMPED AND BETRAYED BY HER OWNER – SHE NEEDS YOU TONIGHT TO GIVE HER A CHANCE TO HAVE A NEW FUREVER HOME! MASHA was dumped by an owner who claims this 6 year old tortie girl attacks people. Yet in the ACC, MASHA showed no aggressive behavior whatsoever. She got a great EXPERIENCE rating because she allowed petting and let herself be picked up. MASHA of course is tense and not happy in the shelter so we know once in a home she will be totally relaxed and herself again. Cats don’t just randomly attack people and if MASHA was truly aggressive of all places, her fear would have caused it to show in the shelter. Obviously this didn’t happen so we know that there is more to the story than what this owner claims. MASHA may just play rough or wants attention. GIVE MASHA A CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY AND CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO SAVE HER!

09/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Masha was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but , appears nervous When spoken quietly: does not come to front but appears nervous Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: allows petting and handling but remain nervous Try picking cat up: Masha is tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
