CINNAMON – A1058378
Gone 11-29-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 11/29/15***CINNAMON was DUMPED because her previous owner did not give him the courtesy of bringing him along when he was moving out of the country! Unless he was moving to a country that ate cats there is NO excuse to leave a pet behind! But it didn’t just end there…the owner dumps the 1 year old off at a HIGH KILL SHELTER! Is that supposed to be caring? CINNAMON needs an EXPERIENCED new owner. He’s scared and tries to flee. As he should want to! PLEASE offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this young cat, he’s adorable and only wants one thing out of life….to be able to live it!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cinnamon’s previous owners stated that he is a bit shy around strangers and would often hide when people visit the home. People rarely visited the home since he was a kitten. He allowed the owner to trim his nails, but wasn’t too fond of baths. Reaction to assessor: Cinnamon was alert with wide eyes, looking around and focusing on things that are going on around the environment. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cinnamon ignores the assessor and continues looking around. Reaction to cage door opening: Cinnamon remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Cinnamon was hesitant of touch, but allows petting and warms up a little. He gently leans on the assessor’s hand, but seems wary of the environment. Behavior Determination: Experience Cinnamon tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents. Any future home with young children should conduct a thorough interaction before adopting.
