S/O: QAR, unable to stand or walk, hind limbs will move (motor present) but not voluntarily, tail tone present, anal tone present but passing feces (diarrhea) on exam (suspect because unable to posture to defecate in the litter box). exam same as yesterday.
A: hind limb paresis – cause unknown
diarrhea
P: add metronidazole 1 ml PO BID x 5 days
add feed i/d only
add gabapentin 2 ml PO BID
needs new hope placement – recommend neurology consult and x-rays to rule out fracture

EENT: OU dilated, RMAX C FX
MS: RH limb absent withdrawal, no signs of external injury, nonpainful, unable to palpated fx
GU MI hindend covered in D and urine
H/L wnl
CNS: withdrawal present on LPL, absent RPL, mentation N, non ambulatory, no pain on spinal palpation, unable to get pain response on pinching of RPL tow
INTEG: tick found and removed from dorsal cervical area–dead
A: RPL paralysis r/o pelvic plexus avulson, tick p+4aralysis (rare in cats), neoplasia, inflammatory
P: gave 100 cc SC LRS, removed tick, added 0.27 CC SC meloxicam (1 day dose) in case of inflammatory origin
ENRICHMENT:
Calm, despite injury. Lay in place and leaned into pets.
