08/03/15 16:43 Buster is a 3 yrs. old orange male tabby who was surrendered at ACC today. Buster is not neutered and appears to be healthy. Buster is described as being gentle and independent. Buster has been socialized with other cats and is described as being respectful relaxed affectionate and tolerant when he is with other cats. Buster has not been socialized with dogs or children at this point in his life. Buster is an indoor cat who is litter trained. Buster is described as having a high activity level and also as being playful confident mellow friendly assertive affectionate quiet and independent. Buster can be aloof when he finds himself in a new unfamiliar situation. Buster has never been bathed had his nails trimmed or his fur brushed. Buster is not bothered when he is picked up and held placed into a carrier or disturbed from his sleep. Buster is nervous when he is in a car often meowing and crying to show his discomfort. Buster uses Fresh Step clay litter in an open litter box. Buster will scratch furniture and will not use a scartching post and will also play with balls and catnip toys and will engage in chasing Buster will eat Iams dry food two to three times a dayand snack on meat flavored treats. When Buster is in the house with his owner he will follow his owner around the house and will stay in the same room with them. Buster’s favorite spot is in the cabinets where he will also sleep. Buster during the Intake process was calm but aloof. Buster allowed himself to be picked up and transferred ito a new carrier with minimal effort. Buster became nervous due to being in his new environment and he did not allow himself to be collared retreating further into the carrier when an attempt was made. Buster did however allow himself to be photographed inside of his carrier. Buster will need some time to adjust and become comfortable in his new environment.

He is described as being respectful, relaxed ,affectionate and tolerant when he is with other cats. Buster has not been socialized with dogs or children. His behavior towards them remains unknown. Buster is an indoor cat who is litter trained. Buster is described as having a high activity level. Notes: Buster at the time of the assessment he was displaying shy behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
