***GONE 08/20/15 *** LESLIE IS ONE OF THOSE STRAY CATS THAT ONE FINDS WALKING AROUND WITH A COLLAR AND A TAG!! Apparently LESLIE was dumped or the owner didn’t want to pay the surrender fee at the ACC….LESLIE is two years old and NEUTERED. He is a calm, relaxed kitty who likes a certain amount or attention and a certain amount of independence….LIGHT UP LESLIE’S LIFE !! OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT AND END HIS “STRAY” DAYS……

I am a neutered male black and white domestic sh. The shelter thinks I am about 2 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/18/2015 from NY 11230, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

07/18/15 20:11 Leslie is a black and white stray female cat wh is approximately 2 yrs. old. Leslie was calm and aloof throughout the Intake process. Leslie allowed herself to be held and carried and also allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier with minimal effort. Leslie became nervous when it came time to collar and photograph her moving further into her carrier. When she bacame calm Leslie allowed herself to be collared but would only allow herself to be photographed in her carrier. Leslie when calm and well adjusted to her new environment is an easy going cat who dmonstrates a liking to being held.

07/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Leslie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying calm behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor. Leslie will attempt bite after he has had enough attention. Leslie will then calmy walk to the back of his cage and lay down. Leslie is displaying behavior appropriate for a experience cat owner with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, seems curious Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting, rubs on hand, may attempt to bite when he has had enough attention Try picking cat up: Leslie allows handling Placement Determination: Experience no child
