10/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ballerina was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ballerina was hiding in the feral den with her eyes focused on the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ballerina keeps eye contact and remains motionless. Reaction to cage door opening: Ballerina remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Ballerina was tolerant of petting. Her body becomes stiff, tense and she starts to lick her lips. She slowly shifts away from the assessor and tries to flee. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Ballerina tolerates attention but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
