09/02/15 10:35 The rescuer found Dozer as a stray and held him for a week while looking for his owner. The rescuer stated that Dozer plays gentle and does not use his claws. He is affectionate and friendly. He allows be picking up and holding. Intake Behavior: Dozer sat in the middle of the carrier with a soft body. When the door was opened, Dozer peeked out and sniffs the counselor’s hand. He walked out of the carrier onto the counter and was easily photographed. He did not retreat when collared or scanned. He jumped of the counter onto the floor but when the carrier was placed next to him, he walked back in.

Notes: Dozer was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Dozer is displaying behavior appropriate for a new cat owner. Reaction to assessor: At the front of the cage, calmy watching the assessor When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues watching assessor Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, likes head rubs Try picking cat up: Dozer allows handling Placement Determination: Average
