***SAFE 08/23/15***SWEET SAMMIKINS GORGEOUS PERSIAN MIX NEEDS YOU! Sad sigh! Sammikins is a 7 year old torbie Persian mix who came in as a stray but obviously was once someone’s beloved pet. She was found in front of someone’s home but instead of the finder trying to locate Sammikin’ s owner, he or she decided to dump this great girl at the kill happy shelter. Sammikins was well behaved during intake—tolerated all petting and handling but after a couple of days at the shelter, got stressed and slapped with a NH rating. That means you will have to contact a NH rescue if you want to save this precious pet’s life. Sammikins deserves a chance for a happy new life. She deserves a chance to live. Can you help write a happy ending to this gorgeous girl’s sad tale? Make the call for sweet Sammikins and be the change that you want to see in the world!!!

08/21/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Sammikins looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Sammikins retreats and growls, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Sammikins does not allow the stroke, hisses at the assessor’s hand, and growls with ears down to the side. Placement determination: NH ONLY Sammikins is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
