***SAFE 08/24/15***ELEMENTARY, MY DEAR WATSON…YOUNG GREY AND WHITE BOY WITH GREAT BEHAVIOR RATING NEEDS YOU! Aww…just look at Watson’s adorable face. He seems to be pleading, “pick me!” Can we ignore this great boy? He is just one year old, tolerates all petting and handling and would be a purrfect pet to just about anyone. Watson had a couple of minor scrapes when found but otherwise, he is purrfectly healthy and ready to be your couch companion. Can you open up your heart and home to this beautiful boy? Please reserve Watson online or let a rescue know if you can foster or adopt. Transportation is available. Let’s not let this young, well behaved boy become another sad ACC stat. Make the call for sweet and wonderful Watson and be the change that you want to see in the world!!!

08/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Watson was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to we seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying conflicted behavior. Watson hisses upon first approach but quickly relaxes and approaches the front of the kennel. He interacts with the assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Watson is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, head butts Try picking cat up: Watson remains calm while held Placement Determination: Average Please note that Watson seems particularly responsive to human slow blink communication, and when approached with soft, blinking eyes he is less likely to hiss upon approach, while still displaying the social and attention seeking behaviors. He appears to appreciate clear communication of human intent.
