He has a ruptured eye and is not feeling his best….NEMO is only 15 weeks old and has allowed a little bit of handling but is very scared… NEMO needs a FOSTER tonite….IF YOU CAN FOSTER, PLEASE CONTACT A NEW HOPE RESCUE….You must be within a 1-2 hr radius of the rescue so you can use their vet. WE’VE ALREADY FOUND NEMO, WE JUST NEED TO SAVE HIM!!

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/23/2015 from NY 10454, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-021964.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Nemo was hiding inside his box upon approach. He displays no reaction when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Nemo remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Nemo was hesitant of touch, but remains in place and allows petting on his head and back. He relaxes a little after, but still seems wary of the environment. Reaction to being picked up: Nemo becomes stiff, but allows handling. Behavior Determination: Experience Nemo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may need time to warm up in his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
