**GONE 07/30/15*** MATILDA is a beautiful cat and needs out of the ACC! The SPAYED, 2 year old is being monitored for a UTI which is easily treated with antibiotics. Matilda was willing to interact with the assessor and allowed gentle petting during the time of the behavior evaluation She got a good EXPERIENCE rating but it was evident that she would have gotten a better rating had she felt better. MATILDA HAS BEEN around cats and once she gets used to them,is “exuberant and playful”. This girl needs a RESCUE and if someone can FOSTER, the medical bills are free! PLEASE STEP UP AND OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS WONDERFUL CAT TONIGHT!

07/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Matilda was calm and relaxed upon approach. She looks at the assessor and then looks away when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Matilda remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Matilda remains in place for petting and seems indifferent to the assessor’s presence. She closes her eyes and starts to breathe rapidly. As per previous owner, Matilda has not been around children or dogs, so it is unknown how she will behave around them. She tends to be fearful of other cats, and will need time to get used to them. Once she is comfortable with them, she is exuberant in play. The owner describes her as shy, friendly, talkative, affectionate, and independent with a medium activity level. She becomes defensive when given a bath, because she does not enjoy them. Matilda has litter box accidents when she has a UTI, and will urinate outside the box. Behavior Determination: Experience Please note that Matilda is being monitored for a urinary tract infection at the time of evaluation. Matilda was willing to interact with the assessor and allowed gentle petting during the time of the behavior evaluation. However, due to her reaction to handling during the medical exam and her willingness to strike out to avoid handling in certain situations, we feel that placement with experienced cat adopters is in Matilda’s best interest. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Please note that her behavior may change once her medical condition is addressed.
