She’ll head butt you for more petting which you would gladly do. Loving your company, she will enchant you with hers. She really is a cheerful girl who will add charm to your home and be a good buddy.

I am a female tortie and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR 6 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/17/2015 from NY 11422, owner surrender reason stated was ALLERGIES. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-039871.

11/17/15 16:30 Townie is a 1 year and 6 month old female tortie colored cat who is being surrendered due to allergies. Townie has been with the family for almost 1 year. Townie was surrendered with limited information. Townie lived with 2 adults and 2 young children and 1 other cat. Townie is reported to be tolerant of children. When visitors come to the home she may greet them. Townie is an indoor cat who uses an open litter box with crystal litter. She has never been exposed to dogs in the home. Townie is affectionate to the other cat in the home. She does not have a scratching post and will sometimes scratch the drapes. She likes wet food. Upon intake Townie was quiet and still for introduction and slightly tense for handling but did not attempt to flee. Counselor was able to scan for microchip (negative) collar and photograph. Townie was easily placed in the carrier.

Townie lived with two adults and two young children. Townie also lived with another cat. Townie is reported to be tolerant of children. When visitors come to the home she may greet them. Townie is an indoor cat who uses an open litter box with crystal litter. She has never been exposed to dogs in the home. Townie is affectionate to the other cat in the home. Reaction to assessor: Townie does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Townie does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Townie leans away from the cage opening Reaction to touch: Townie allows petting with a slow approach but remains tense Try picking cat up: Did not attempt to pick up Townie Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Townie was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. She leans away as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices she relaxed a little. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
