11/29/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
October was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. October was being monitored by the Enrichment Facilitator and was described as being fearful and tense upon intake. She tolerates petting but has a stiff body. Reaction to assessor: October was resting in her feral den. Reaction when softly spoken to: October makes eye contact with the assessor and low growls. Reaction to cage door opening: October remains neutral. Reaction to touch: October backs away and bends her ears flat. She low growls and hisses when close. She does not allow any contact. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child October tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his or her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
