TORO – A1036366

***GONE 05/21/15***TERRIFIC TORO THE KITTEN NEEDS YOU! Sad sigh! Who makes it their business to trap sweet little angels minding their own business only to dump them at the kill happy shelter? Unfortunately, that’s what happened to 7 month old adorable kitten Toro. This sweet but timid grey and white kitten was minding his own business when he got scooped up and surrendered to the ACC. Despite his dire circumstance, Toro is calm and easy to handle. Naturally, he is a little fearful so may do best in a quiet home. He has caught the dreaded kitty cold. We can’t let him die due to a couple of curable kitty sniffles. Please reserve this fab, little fella online tonight or contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. If you can only offer safe haven to Toro, remember fostering saves lives. So let’s get started right NOW! Let’s make sure Toro has a chance to grow up in a loving home with a special purrson. Could that special someone be you?

05/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Toro was calm, but is focused on the assessor upon approach. When softly spoken to, he continues to stare at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Toro becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Toro remains stiff and immobile with touch. He is focused on the assessor’s hand when touched on his body and is unsure; his ears bend sideways and lip licks. Note: Toro was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He was easy to handle upon intake and did not resist or vocalize. He may try to flee due to fear. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Toro tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
