TOM’s wounds are healing but he caught the ACC cold…..TOM is 3 years old and loves attention. He’s a HEAD-BUTTER & a TWIRLER!! WHO CAN GIVE THIS TERRIFIC TABBY A HOME TONIGHT!! I am a male brn tabby and white domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 07/30/2015 from NY 10031, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

08/08/2015 Exam Type RE-EXAM – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 10.4 LBS.
08/08/15 15:16 S/O: cage exam durin rounds. nasal discharge and congestion. A: URI P: move to isolation start doxy 1.1 ml PO SID x 10 days 8/2/15 S/O: re-exam for wounds. wealing wounds on left side of face under the left ear, dorsal aspect of the tail, and on the lateral and medial sides of the right front leg. All wounds are already healed and scarring down (picked off a superficial scab that was on the left face wound – just a scar underneath). None of the lesions appear infected and none were painful during palpation/examination. No URI signs. Eating well (eating during exam). BAR, hydrated. A: Healing wounds from previous trauma P: No treatments needed at this time

Reaction to assessor: Tom was eating upon approach. He looks at the assessor when softly spoken to, but continues to eat afterwards. Reaction to cage door opening: Tom remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tom stops eating, head-butts the assessor’s hand, starts to purr, and twirls around in a circle to solicit more attention. Reaction to being picked up: Tom remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Average Tom interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
