These 4-year-old boys are both reported as being super nice cats, according to the owner surrender sheets, and both boys are feeling a little rattled by their scary new surroundings. Despite their fear, Boo and Tazzy have put their best feet forward and earned excellent EXPERIENCE ratings. Orange cats are loads of fun, and a matched set is that much sweeter! 05/11/15 13:23 Basic Information: Tazzy is a 4yr old male domestic short haired cat that has no past or current medical issues according to the owner. Social Life & Personality: Tazzy has been around children and plays with them in a gentle manner. This behavior is also displayed when interacting with other cats. He also lived with his sibbling ans got along with him fine as well. The owner isn’t sure how he will respond in the presence of a dog due to never having one present for them tointeract with. Tazzy is an indoor only cat that is litter box trained. Tazzy is descibed to be playful, friendly, and affectionate with a high activity level. Behavior Issues: The owner isn’t sure how Tazzy will respond to recieving an actual bath due to never trying to do so. Tazzy is used to recieving “Dry Baths” according to the owner. Tazzy is afraid of recieving a nail trim and it can be a bit of a struggle trying to trim his nails. He does enjoy having his coat brushed and this can be done without issue. Tazzy does enjoy being held and there is no limit to how long he will alow you to hold him. He isn’t used to being put in a cat carrier and this can be a struggle getting him into one. For a New Family to Know: Tazzy was brought up using clumping litter and a standard litter box. He enjoys all sorts of cat toys and will play with just about anything. Tazzy did have a scratching post and used it pretty often according to the owner. When in the home Tazzy is the type to follow you around seeking attention. When interacting with humans Tazzy plays in a gentle manner. When in the car Tazzy appears to be afraid and will meow/cry. Tazzy was brought up eating both wet/dry food and the brands the owner gave were Friskies & Purina Cat Chow.

Reaction to assessor: Hiding in den when I approach cage. (3) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Looks at me through the den. (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless. (2) Reaction to touch: Allows petting but appears nervous, body tense. (2) Reaction to being picked up: Did not attempt, cat appears stressed. Notes: Tazzy was surrendered to the shelter by an owner who described him as playful and affectionate, and noted that he got along well with children and his sibling. At the time of the assessment, Tazzy is displaying nervous body language. He does not interact with the assessor but tolerates handling. Tazzy is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents who can help him adjust to a new home.
