I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 03/21/2015 from NY 10010, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA.

03/21/15 15:18 Basic Information: Summer Lilly is an 11 year old female tortie. She was adopted from another shelter about 10 years ago. She is being surrendered because the owner has moved into a building that does not allow pets. She has no known injuries or medical problems. Social Life and Personality: Charlie has been around children 4 and Summer Lilly has been around children ages 4 and 7 and is relaxed, respectful, and tolerant of them. She does not play with them. She has not been around other cats or dogs so her behaviors are unknown. She is litter box trained, kept indoors only, and has a low level of energy. Behaviors: She has never bitten anyone or any animal before. She has not been given a bath or had her nails trimmed before so her behaviors are unknown but she enjoys being brushed and is not bothered when picked up and help or placed into a carrier. New Family Info: She is sued to clumping and pellet litter inside an uncovered box. She does not play with toys and scratches on an old wood/upholstered couch but was never given a scratching post to use. At home she stays in a favorite spot and when traveling in carrier will urinate/defecate. She was fed both wet and dry food (fancy feast) and sleeps where ever she feels comfortable. Intake Behaviors: During intake did not approach or retreat from extended hand. Allowed to be scanned (negative), collared, pictured, and transferred without aggression. When touched had relaxed body and when given food would eat at front of carrier.

03/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Please take note: Charlie has been around children ages 4 and 7, she is relaxed, respectful, and tolerant of them. She did not play with them. Her behavior is unknown around other cats and dogs. Also, enjoys being brushed and is not bothered when picked up. Reaction to assessor: Summer looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Summer remains crouched down on her cage bedding, immobile in place. Reaction to touch: Summer stands with tail up, accepts the stroke, head-butts the assessor’s hand, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: She calmly jumped back into her cage. Placement determination: Average Summer Lily interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
