ELAINE – A1030949
4-2-2015
*** SAFE *** “A staff member writes: Elaine? Are you a magician? Because when I look at you, everyone else disappears! Has eyes ever laid themselves on a fairer damsel? This beauty queen has so much love to give. She quickly approaches the door of her kennel for all callers, never seeming to want to miss an opportunity when love will be given. Whenever she catches sight of a passerby she will dry out and is far from shy about asking for what she wants…YOU. If you think you handle this strong beauty,, show up quickly before she is swept off her four feet by another!” The only place AVERAGE-rated Elaine will be swept, is straight into the euth room, unless someone saves her life tonight!

03/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Elaine was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she comes to the front and tries to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Elaine remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Elaine head-butts the assessor’s hand vigorously, begins to purr, and twirls around in a circle to solicit attention. Reaction to toy or novel object: Elaine sniffs the object and pushes it with her nose. Reaction to being picked up: Elaine remains calm and allows handling. Note: Elaine was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was indifferent to people during intake and allowed handling. She also allows handling during her initial medical exam, although she would randomly hiss and growl. This may due to the stress of being in a new environment. Behavior Determination: Average Elaine interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
