The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old.
I weigh 8 pounds.
I was found in NY 10455.
I have been at the shelter since Mar 12, 2015.

INTIAL EXAM 3/13/15:
Negative MC
Neutered male
BARH
Mild tartar
Negative fleas/earmites (activyl)
Hind left leg seems to be broken near femur, toes have withdrawal reflex, non weight bearing, old patch of blood near stifle but fracture is not open, largely swollen and painful
Moved to medical, as per oncall gave 0.36ml Buprenorphine SQ
RE-EXAM 3/13/15:
Somewhat approachable in cage but painful – hindlimb . Sedated exam with TTDex 0.15 cc – and antisedan 0.07 cc reversal

M/S – Amb x3 = L hind – open distal complete femur fx, with substantial muscular swelling around ends of which is stabilizing it at this time. Not much distration yet. The skin was clipped and the wound does not have any bone near the wound but thought to have orinigated from the end of the bone.

frayed nails – trimmed

A: L hind – open distal complete femur fx
P: Buprinex 0.35 cc SC BID 10 d
baytril 22.7 – .8 cc SC SID 14 d
LRS 100 SC SID
nolvasan open wound BID
Took a long time for recovery – later in afternoon- 0.05 cc antesedan and 100 SC fluids – monitor this animal in medical O/N with sign posted to call 0915 if not looking well.
Monitor in next couple days to see if labwork is needed to look at organ fxn.
Moved to medical, as per oncall vet
NH placement needed ASAP to have leg assessed with rads and orthopedic consult to avoid amputation in this case.
RE EXAM 3/13/15:
Has recovered well from procedure O/N
Resting quietly, nice cat, BAR
wound is clean
CWCPT
Awaiting NH placement to have hind leg repaired vs. amputated
