STARLITE – A1031044
3-31-2015
If tiny little Starlite could wish upon a star, chances are good that she would wish for a loving home. This adorable 14-week-old kitten was brought to the ACC as a stray and it’s incredible that she never got adopted…but she got sick almost as soon as she came to the shelter and probably, no one knew she was there. This little doll needs a trip to the vet and some loving arms around her, but that’s not what she will get from the ACC tomorrow. They will slide her little body into a black plastic freezer bag, unless someone steps up for her tonight!

03/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Starlite was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. Although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents and no children. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage (3) When spoken quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to door cage opening: retreats (3) Reaction to touch: tries to flee,meows/cries (4) Reaction to toy or novel object: try to flee (4) Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, very afraid, tries to flee. Placement Determination: Experience no child
