Smurf came to us a stray on 4/14/15. Upon intake it was reported that Smurf tried to flee, and was not able to be handled. Smurf appeared to be very uncomfortable by the assessor’s presence and did not allow the assessor to touch him. The behavior department believes that Smurf will do best if placed with a rescue that can provide positive behavior modification. Reaction to assessor: Continues to hide (was hiding when you approached) (3) When spoken to quietly: Continues to hide (3) Reaction to cage door opening: Remains motionless, does not respond (2) Reaction to touch: Tries to bite, swats at you, charges (5)
