** SAFE 04/28/15 *** SMOKEY’S OWNER ONLY GAVE HER 2 MONTHS TO ACCLIMATE TO HER NEW HOME AND ANOTHER CAT AND THEN DECIDED TIME WAS UP AND DUMPED HER IN THE ACC!! People who get a second pet need to understand that animals take time to adjust to not only a new home but another pet in the house. Two months is really not a lot of time and poor Smokey was under the gun in no time. Her owner dumped her for a pet conflict and now Smokey is even more disoriented being bounced back and forth several times in only 2 months. Smokey is only 2 years old and was said to be a well behaved cat. She does not deserve the New Hope rating only because she is terrified. Before the shelter environment, she was a friendly cat. GIVE SMOKEY A CHANCE TO HAVE A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY – CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO BE HER FOSTER OR ADOPTER TONIGHT!!
