PRINCESS – A1056049
Gone 11-8-2015 Manhattan
*** GONE 11/08/15 *** THIS IS THE FACE OF ABANDONMENT AND BETRAYAL, WHEN YOU’VE BEEN WITH SOMEONE YOUR WHOLE LIFE AND AFTER 15 YEARS OF LOVE THEY BRING YOU TO A SHELTER TO BE KILLED!!!! Princess is 15 years old. She was brought in for ‘behavior’ because in the last 8 months she has begun acting ‘aggressive- hissing, and scratching’. Instead of bringing PRINCESS to a vet to find out what was going on, if she was in pain (cats who have arthritis, or urinary tract infections may behave thu) they brought her to ACC. After 15 YEARS! PRINCESS’S former owner does not deserve to ever have even a potted plant to care for again-but now we must look to help this sad, betrayed girl. Changes that are positive, a good vet exam and some peace and quiet may well be what this girl needs. Can you be the one to offer PRINCESS a place in your home? To not judge her but allow her to learn to trust…15 years must count for something….will you be the one to say ‘yes’ and help this girl find happiness and love and Life again?

11/02/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Princess does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Princess comes to the front of the cage – soliciting attention, meowing, and reaching out with paws. Reaction to cage door opening: Princess remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Princess solicits petting and attention – rubbing against the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Princess briefly tolerates the hold, but then starts to grumble and growl. Once she is back in her cage, she immediately returns and continues to solicit attention. Behavior Determination: Experienced Princess tolerates attention and petting but may be a little more independent and need time to warm up to her new home. She may have some behavioral issues that will need to be addressed in the home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
