PETER – A1047232
8-14-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Hurricane Pets Please honor your pledges: http://www.HurricanePetsRescue.org/
***SAFE 08/14/15*** PETER is the most GORGEOUS , Long hair mixed boy! The 3 year old was not happy went he entered the ACC! Probably because he senses he may never make it out alive! He was frightened during assessment but did start to tolerate petting and attention. He needs someone, preferably with no children as he may be intimidated by small children. But that’s not to say that he won’t warm up to his new owner. He needs to decompress and just get used to NEW surroundings! Contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE and save PETER from what could be the last day he”ll ever see! He deserves to live!

08/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Peter looks tense in his cage when appoached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Peter remains crouched down at the back, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Peter retreats away from the assessor’s hand, attempts to escape his cage, and once touched he began to flinch with ears down to his side. Placement determination: Experience / no child Peter tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
