PATCHES – A1045109
8-6-2015 Manhattan Rescue: All Sentient Beings Please honor your pledges: http://animalloversnetwork.org/
***SAFE 08/06/15*** PATCHES is a lovely lush girl who loves petting, attention, and has lived with children! She was surrendered to ACC because her former owner is elderly and moving into a family members home who has large dogs, so there is no room for the cat she’s had since she was a few weeks old. 12 year old PATCHES is declawed on her front paws, and a volunteer says this about her:’Super-size it with this Lane Bryant special. This big girl is a beautiful friendly senior in her Moo Moo calico colors. She doesn’t need much but a loving safe home to retire in. She is already prepared to share a forever home with you and your family. Make her your faithful companion and she will return the kindness. Another volunteer writes: Patches is a lap cat, that’s for sure. I caught her following my movements around the room with her big round eyes and when I approached her cat condo, she rolled right over looking for a belly rub. Her fur is soft and luxurious, and she began to purr almost immediately. Her guilty pleasure? A neck massage! If you’re looking for a mature cat that will be a constant, grateful companion, Patches is your girl! She may be a bit heavy right now, but once she’s in a loving home, some of that excess weight should come off with a little play and attention.’ Patches has lived with a small dog and was respectful of him…will you save her life and get her out of ACC? She has just til 12 noon tomorrow!

Patches plays gently with people. Patches lived with a small dog and was respectful of him. She hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Patches has no known behavior issues. She’s relaxed in the car. She enjoys being brushed. She doesn’t mind being put in a carrier, woken up, or having her nails trimmed. She struggles when picked up/held. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Patches’ family describes her as friendly, affectionate, mellow, talkative, and low-medium energy. Patches loves to cuddle and watch TV. She follows her owner and lies on her chest. She plays with balls and wand toys. She lived inside and slept on a cat bed. She ate mostly dry Meow Mix food. She got wet food and cat treats as treats. She used her uncovered litterbox with clumping litter and didn’t have accidents. INTAKE Patches allowed us to pick her up, scan her (-), and put her in a kennel. When we returned, she hissed, so we couldn’t collar her. We took her pictures in her kennel.
