07/23/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
07/23/15 16:55 BASIC INFO Cali’s family got her from a neighbor 1 year ago and surrendered them because they’re moving. SOCIALIZATION Cali is friendly/outgoing with strangers. He lived with 3 children (ages 3, 5, and 10) and is relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with them. He plays gently with all people. He lived with a medium sized dog and was relaxed, affectionate, tolerant, and playful with him. He stayed with 3 female cats of all ages. He was relaxed with them and tried to rub against and initiate play with them. Once they hiss at him, which he tolerates, he gives them space. Cali hasn’t bit/scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Cali is nervous and meows in the car. He enjoys being picked up and held. He doesn’t mind when someone trims his nails, puts him in a carrier, or wakes him up. Since he was about 6 months old, he’s been urinating (never defecating) outside of his litterbox. He usually potties on clothing and hasn’t been neutered or seen by a vet for the issue. The rest of the time, he uses his uncovered or hooded litterboxes with clay litter. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Cali’s family describes him as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, quiet, and medium energy. He follows his family, sits next to them, and plays with the dog often. He didn’t have any toys. He lived inside and ate dry and wet cat food. He scratched a cardboard box. INTAKE Cali was a little tense but was tolerant of us picking him up, holding him, scanning him (-), collaring him, positioning him for pictures, and putting him in a kennel. He was easy to handle and didn’t resist, retreat, or vocalize.
