NORA – A1053281
Gone 10-7-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 10/07/15*** SECOND CHANCE FOR NORA!! Poor Nora’s life changed the minute she was surrendered to the shelter due to cost. She had a home, an owner she depended on and a housemate to cuddle with. In the blink of an eye, she lost it all and she is reacting like any family pet forced to endure the indignity of being given up. Nora is rated EXPNOCHLD due to her behavior in the shelter. She is completely stressed and she needs an experienced owner to make the nightmare she has been forced to endure go away. Nora has until noon to find a compassionate, caring person to make that happen.

10/05/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Nora does not come to the front, but remains neutral in her cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Nora ignores the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Nora becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Nora sniffs the assessor’s hand and focuses on it. She eventually head-butts lightly and allows all petting on her head and back. She meows softly and seems to appreciate attention, but she starts to growl and stiffen in place randomly and then hisses. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Nora tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
