Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Drum is by the front, stiff and alert. Reaction when softly spoken to: Drum hisses and attempts to swat at the assessor through the cage door. Reaction to cage door opening: Drum continues to attempt to swat. Due to this behavior, the assessment was ended to reduce her stress level. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Drum is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to swat, scratch, is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
