***SAFE 07/23/15*** CHIRPING, PURRING GINGER KITTEN CHARMER, “VERY SWEET BOY” DUMPED DUE TO MOVE, HAS A NEAR-PERFECT BEHAVIOR RATING, BUT WILL DIE BECAUSE HE SNEEZED – PLEASE GRANT MILTON A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Gorgeous ginger kitten MILTON, just 8 months old, finds himself flung into the kill-happy ACC after his old owner decided to MOVE to new cat-free digs, leaving this lovebug to fend for himself. At home, Milton was PURRfect: “He was found by his owner as a kitten on the fire escape. He is a friendly cat that allows you to pet, pick him up, and carry him. He is very attention seeking of his owners and likes to play with them using cat toys.” Milton CHIRPED and PURRED his way to a near-perfect behavior rating of AVERAGE, but this EXCELLENT ginger kitten will DIE at noon tomorrow, just because he SNEEZED! 07/10/15 17:19 Milton is a 8 month old orange tabby. He was found by his owner and a kitten on the fire escape. They took Milton in to be a mouser, but the family in now moving out of state and will not be taking Milton. The owner states he is a friendly cat that allows you to pet, pick him up, and carry him. The owner hasn’t seen him jump on kitchen counter tops or the dining table, but he will jump on the couch. He has a vertical scratching post made of carpet, but he also scratcing the furniture. He is very attention seeking of his owners and likes to play with them using cat toys. At intake, Milton had low body position and was wide eyes, but he allowed all handling and was easy to collar, scan, and photograph.

Reaction to Assessor: Milton was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, he chirps and comes to the front. Reaction to cage door opening: Milton remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Milton remains in place for petting and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Milton struggles and jumps back into his cage. As per previous owner, Milton is a friendly cat that allows you to pet him, pick him up, and carry him. He loves to seek attention and the owners liked playing with him with cat toys. Behavior Determination: Average Milton interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
