09/26/15 21:56 Melly is an orange female tabby cat who brought into ACC today as a stray. Melly is not spayed and appears healthy but will undergo a full physical health exam. She was calm and well behaved throughout the Intake process. She allowed herself to be picked up and held without incident. She also allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier with minimal effort. She allowed herself to be collared and photographed and displayed no negative behaviors.

Notes: Melly was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Melly is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front, meows Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Melly is tolerant of this type of handling Placement Determination: Beginner
