MAXX – A1052504
Safe 10-7-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 10/07/15*** MAXX was brought into the Care Center after being found outside, Finder could not keep. The 2 year old has been social and easy to handle but an update on his behavior shows that, “MAXX is not thriving in the adoptions room.” Well one could sympathize with MAXX! Who could thrive in a dirty, loud and overcrowded shelter! Isn’t that a OXYMORON? This guy needs out and NOW! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this AVERAGE rated guy and give him what’s left of his sanity back!

10/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
10/3 update: Maxx is not thriving in our busy adoptions room, and he has begun hissing when approached for interaction. He has not escalated or shown any aggression or other distance-increasing behaviors, but it is in Maxx’s best interest to move out of the kennel environment and into a stable home as quickly as possible. He has otherwise been social and easy to handle, and remains appropriate for an adopter with an average amount of cat experience. 9/30 eval: Reaction to assessor: Maxx looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Maxx remains crouched down on his cage bedding, relaxed face. Reaction to touch: Maxx sits up in place, accepts the stroke, purrs, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He becomes antsy and jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Average Maxx interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
