07/25/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Mack was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. He seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to flee and is extremely fearful. Mack currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: was hiding when I approach cage When spoken quietly: continues to hide Reaction to door cage opening: attempts to flee, very fearful Reaction to touch: attempts to flee, very fearful Try picking cat up: The assessor did not attempt to pick up Mack Placement Determination: NewHope
