07/09/15 20:43hrs BASIC INFORMATION Kitty Kitty is a 13 year old spayed domestic shorthair cat. She lived with her owner her whole life but is being surrendered due to personal problems at home. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Kitty Kitty is described as a low activity, mellow and friendly cat. She lived with children aged from 2 years to 15 years old. She was tolerant of the children, allowing them to pet her. Kitty Kitty has not lived with another cat or dog for more than 7 years. She is kept indoors only. BEHAVIOR Kitty Kitty uses a hooded litter box with clay litter. However in recent months her owner stated that she has been defecating outside of her litterbox at least once a week. Kitty Kitty struggles to get away when she is picked up and prefers to be low to the ground. She was not accustomed to being bathed by her owner or having her nails trimmed. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Kitty Kitty is a reserved cat that will normally be found resting in her favorite spot in the house, under a table or chair. She would use her owners’ wooden furniture as a scratching post. She was fed dry food but enjoys a can of salmon as treat once in a while. DURING INTAKE Kitty Kitty was hiding in the back of her carrier. When she was let out of her carrier, she had to be coaxed with food. When she was approached, she would shrink back with her head tucked towards her body. She allowed collaring, scanning for a microchip (negative) and taking photographs without displaying any negative behavior.
