KATY – A1031273
4-2-2015
SAFE *** THE NEIGHBORHOOD – WHICH CONSISTED OF ONE – PICKED KATY UP AND WHISKED HER AWAY TO THE ACC WHERE SHE IS NOW TERRIFIED AND WILL DIE FOR HER FEAR!*** KATY was a stray who wandered into someone’s yard who obviously knew this cat and it’s personality. But the same person who claims the cat ONLY liked him, betrayed her trust and dumped her in the kill happy shelter where she is scared to death and is NEW HOPE rated for her fear, even though she let this person pick her up. KATY is not a wild cat – she is a scared cat. KATY was said to get along with the neighborhood cats and other animals. KATY IS ALSO SPAYED ALREADY. This tells us she is most likely a lost or abandoned pet and once lived in a home. GIVE KATY A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT AND CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL THIS PRETTY TABBY GIRL TO SAFETY NOW!!

03/31/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Katy was brought to the shelter as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history previous to was seeing during the evaluation. She seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment Katy was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She has tried to flee / bite and is extremely fearful . She does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to door cage opening: becomes stiff, alert (3) Reaction to touch: growls, hisses, strikes, does not allows petting at all (5) Reaction to toy or novel object: hisses (5) Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick the cat up, fractious behavior Placement Deremination: New Hope
