Safe 11-21-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 11/21/15*** STRAIGHT OUT, some people are too stupid to own pets. The previous owner has surrendered JORDIN due to her soiling on the furniture. Well, let’s see…did they bother to have her fixed, since un-spayed cats will urinate outside the litter box. OR take her to a VET to see if she has a UTI? NO! They just DUMP her at a high-kill shelter where she may die! This 3 year old has been done wrong and its up to YOU to make it right! Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT JORDIN and let her see that nothing was worth her losing her life! Give life back to this GIRL!

11/15/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
11/15/15 14:33hrs Jordin is a 3 year old female cat that was cared for by her owner for the past 3 years. She is being surrendered because she is soiling furniture and the owner is unable to continue caring for her. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Jordin is described as reserved and friendly. She lived with children older than 10 years old and she is tolerant with them. She allows petting on her head and chin. She lived with a male cat she was tolerant with. If she would allow it, then she would play with him or groom him. However her owner stated that sometimes when the male cat would try to touch or play with her, she would hiss at him to leave her alone. BEHAVIOR Jordin is accustomed to grooming herself. Her owner would have to towel her to clip her front nails because she would growl. If she is touched on her back or tail, she would softly nibble on her owner’s hand or swipe at it to stop the touching. She has never broken skin. She recently began urinating outside of her litter box and on her owner’s couch. She tends to hide when there is company. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Jordin is accustomed to using a covered litter box. She enjoys playing with feathered toys and laser pointers. She is used to eating Costco brand dry cat food. She will meow and rub against her owner’s legs for attention. She likes to scratch on a cardboard scratching post. She normally sleeps underneath the television at night. DURING INTAKE Jordin was crouched down with her eyes dilated. When a hand was extended towards her, she would sniff at it but continued walking out of her carrier. She remained still but looking around the room for a place to run to. She was collared, scanned for a microchip (negative) and photographed without displaying negative behavior.

11/18/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jordin is described as reserved and friendly. She lived with children older than 10 years old and she is tolerant with them. She allows petting on her head and chin. She lived with a male cat she was tolerant with. If she would allow it, then she would play with him or groom him. Reaction to assessor: Jordin looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Jordin remains crouched position at the back of the cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Jordin hisses at first, then accepts the stroke and began to slightly raise up her hind legs into the touch. However, she lip licks in place and remains cautious with her surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Jordin tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
