JALENE – A1056101
Gone 10-31-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/31/15*** JALENE WAS A STRAY WHO SOMEONE TRAPPED AND DUMPED IN THE SHELTER – SHE IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY BUT WILL DIE FOR HER FEAR! Poor JALENE was brought in as a stray. She is clearly not happy about it and due to her reaction to her fear, she has been punished with a NEW HOPE rating and a very difficult fight to be rescued before 12 NOON on Saturday when the euth tech will come for her to end her life. It is so unfair to judge a cat by their behavior after being trapped and slung into this system because even the best of cats will act out because they are scared. JALENE was brought in with no background info so we really have no clue if she is a lost pet or was abandoned by someone. Sadly, she needs you now to advocate for her life. JALENE wants to live and ONLY YOU can make that possible. OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT BY CONTACTING A RESCUE GROUP NOW TO PULL HER TO SAFETY.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Jalene looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Jalene remains crouched position, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Jalene sniffs the assessor’s hand then hisses while she slowly retreats and attempts to swat. Placement determination: NH ONLY Jalene is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting.
