***GONE 10/31/15*** GENTLE WITH CHILDREN AND AFFECTIONATE CHARLES IS NOW GOING TO DIE BECAUSE HIS OWNER DUMPED HIM FOR MOVING AND HE IS AFRAID!! CHARLES was brought into the shelter by his careless owner who didn’t want to take him along when he moved. CHARLES was said to be screaming and very upset at this. Sadly, his owner didn’t care and left him at the shelter where he is very afraid and received a NEW HOPE rating. CHARLES however, was described by his ex owner to be gentle with adults and children, loves baths, and loves to play with a laser pointer. He was mellow and had excellent litterbox manners. CHARLES sounds like the PURRFECT cat!! BUT NOW ABANDONED, CHARLES IS AFRAID AND WILL BE KILLED AT NOON – CAN YOU FOSTER OR ADOPT THIS WONDERFUL 3 YEAR OLD NEUTERED KITTY? DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE NEW HOPE RATING – HE IS A SUPER CAT WHO JUST WANTS TO BE LOVED. GIVE HIM A CHANCE AND YOU WON’T BE SORRY!!!

10/27/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/27/15 14:07 BASIC INFO Charles is a 3 year old neutered DSH cat. Charles’s family got him from a friend 3 years ago when he was a kitten. They surrendered him because they’re moving to a home that doesn’t allow pets. SOCIALIZATION Charles is shy with new people for a few minutes. He lived with 2 children ages 0-2 years. He’s respectful of infants. He’s relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant of toddlers. He goes everywhere with the 2 year old child in his family. Charles plays gently with adults and children. He hasn’t spent time with other pets. He hasn’t bit or scratched anyone. BEHAVIOR Charles is relaxed in the car. He loves baths. He doesn’t mind when someone brushes him or picks up and holds him. He struggles when put in a carrier. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Charles’ family describes him as friendly, mellow, talkative, and low energy. He follows his family and likes to sit in the window sill, on the back of the couch with his family, and on his cat tree. He plays with laser pointers. Charles lived inside and slept on a cat bed. He ate dry Meow Mix and wet Fancy Feast food. He’s littertrained, used a hooded litterbox with clay litter, and didn’t have accidents. He scratched the couch and chairs and did not scratch his cat tree. INTAKE Charles was tense with wide eyes and his ears back a little as we scanned him (-) in his carrier and while he walked into his kennel. Later, we returned to find him crouched at the back of his kennel. He hissed and growled while I took his pictures in his kennel. He had finished his dry and wet food. I slid a new bowl into the corner of his kennel and he struck it.
