I am a neutered male org tabby domestic sh. The shelter thinks I am about 6 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 05/14/2015 from NY 11208, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

05/14/15 11:46 Intake Behavior: Herbie allowed to be carried to the care center. He allowed to be placed in a carrier. When in the carrier he sat in the front and solcited attention. He nuzzled hand when pet and did not show any aggressive behaviors. He remained calm with a soft body throughout the intake.

A staff member writes: Herbie was given his name because he’s such a lovebug! This super friendly guy was found wandering the streets of Brooklyn when he started to follow one of the AC&C staff members to work. Herbie let her pick him up and be carried a few more blocks to the shelter, nuzzling and purring the whole time. This handsome guy just wants someone to love and cuddle with that will keep him safe and warm in his new home. Can you be the one that makes this former street cat into the lap cat he wants to be?

Notes: Herbie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to was seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Herbie is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: comes to the front of the cage, soliciting, rubbing against the cage front (1) When spoken quietly: stays at front, continues soliciting attention (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft & relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention (1) Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling,likes being held Placement Determination: Beginner
