09/03/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Gail was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to the previous owner moving. Gail lived with two adults. Her behavior towards children and other cats remains unknown. Gail lived with a dog and the previous stated they got along well. They also stated Gail loves to play and is high energy. Notes: Gail seems to not be thriving in this environment. At the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: becomes alert Reaction to touch: strikes, does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Gail due to fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
