FOULARD – A1048517
8-28-2015 Staten Island Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
***SAFE 08/28/15*** SECOND NIGHT ON THE LIST, FOULARD NEEDS A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO SAVE HER BACON TONIGHT!! PERFECTLY HEALTHY FOULARD WILL DIE BECAUSE SHE IS AFRAID!! FOULARD was brought to the shelter as a “stray”.The person dumping her did not leave any info on her background or where he supposedly found this pretty 2 year old girl. FOULARD is ALREADY SPAYED which tells us that she must have belonged to someone – and possibly the one leaving her. She is understandably afraid, and after allowing some petting, she became fearful and this got her a NEW HOPE rating. NEW HOPE ratings are so unfair as they only measure a cat’s fear IN THE SHELTER, and not in a home. FOULARD is only 2 years old and has an entire life ahead of her – that is if you give her that chance. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL FOULARD TO SAFETY – SHE IS A GOOD GIRL WHO IS SAD AND AFRAID. IN TIME SHE WILL BE YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Does not come to the front but remains neutral. (2) Reaction to being spoken to quietly: Ignores me completely. (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Becomes stiff and alert. (3) Reaction to touch: Allows brief petting, puts ears back and growls. At second attempt, growls and swats at me. (4) Notes: Foulard came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment.
