05/13/15 17:42 Basic Information Felise is a 4 year old altered domestic short hiar. She was found as a stray kitten and has to be surrendered because of personal problems. Felise has been to the vet reguarly and has no known health problems or injuries. Social Life and Personality: Felise has not been around children, cats, or dogs to know his behavior around them. She is trained to use the litter box and does not have accidents outside the box. He has been kept indoor and has a medium activity level. The owner describes him as shy, friendly, affectionate, and quiet. Behavior: The owner has not given Felise a bath, trimmed her nails, or brush her. She struggles when held. She is not bothered going into a carrier or when woken u. For a New Family to Know: Felise is used to clumping litter inside a hooded litter box. She likes to play with stuffed toys. She does not scratch on anything. Felise follows her owner when he is home. She is gentle during play. She eats dry cat food 2x a day. She likes soft treats. She sleeps in the corner near the heater. Intake Behavior: Felise was tense during the intake. She licked her nose when handled. She allowed handling and did not show any aggressive behaviors.

Owner Profile: Felise was bought into the care center by her previous owner because she was going through personal issues. Felise has only lived with adults. She has not been around children so her behavior towards them are unknown. The previous owner describes her as shy, friendly, affectionate, and quiet. Felise has not been introduced to other animals her behavior towards them is also unknown. Felise is litter box trained. Notes: Felise seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment she was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
