Safe 10-26-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 10/26/15*** CUTIE PIE was surrendered due to the same old excuse…”ALLERGIES “! Now because of that poor CUTIE PIE may lose his LIFE! He has been around a 7 year old child but not around any other animals. He is rated EXPNOCHILD ONLY because while playing exuberantly with the child,he was said to get a little rough. But that’s not something that would be for long. This one year old cat just needs a bit of guidance, after all he is still just a kitten! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT this CUTIE PIE!

The former owner states that around strangers Cutie pie is shy at first but friendly and outgoing. Cutie pie has lived with a 7 year old child, loves to be play but can play a little rough at times when he is to excited. He has never been around dogs or other cats so the owner has no idea how Cutie pie would react around them. Also, describes him as friendly and playful cat with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Cutie Pie looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cutie Pie remains crouched down on his cage bedding, alert with a relaxed face. Reaction to touch: Cutie Face stands with tail up, head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. However, he becomes worried with sudden noises then slowly retreats and becomes alert. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps back into his cage. Placement determination: Experience / no child Cutie Pie is social and affectionate but may play roughly as per the previous owner. As a result of this we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Cutie Pie becomes overstimulated. We also recommend fishing pole-type toys for play as they allow for interaction and vigorous, stimulating exercise while keeping human hands at a distance.
