CHILI DOG – A1040048
6-22-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 06/22/15***DELICIOUS AND SWEET CHILI DOG RUSSIAN BLUE TYPE NEEDS YOU! Chili Dog is a five year old fab fella who came into the shelter on 6/14 as a “stray” surrender but since he’s already neutered and a hefty 13.9 lbs., it’s likely he was once someone’s beloved pet. This sad but sweet fella has a couple of superficial wounds underneath his eyes for which he was being treated. Despite having a “good” prognosis, the ACC plans to kill this good boy when tomorrow afternoon rolls around. He is a little shy but certainly not aggressive—just naturally frightened at the shelter. Chili Dog tolerates petting and handling. Please open up your heart and home to this precious angel. You can reserve Chili Dog online or contact a NH rescue for assistance with transportation. Please be THE SOMEONE in “somebody do something!” Won’t you help write a happy ending to delicious and sweet Chili Dog’s sad tale?

06/20/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Chili Dog was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady low approach using soft voices he relaxed a little and I was able to pet him and interact with him. I was also able to pick him up but he then tried to flee. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless Reaction to touch: allows petting Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling for a limited time before attempting to flee Placement Determination: Experience no child
